The Angel’s Light team brings diverse experience into the treatment center creating a therapeutic environment that is approachable to a wide variety of our guests. We have staff with significant time in recovery themselves as well as staff who bring excellent clinical skills to work that challenge our guests developmentally in their recovery. 

OUR TEAM

Travis W

Project Director

Travis is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Slippery Rock University. Prior to joining the Angel’s Light team, Travis was a consultant to hospitals and investors nationwide providing clinical insight while developing multiple Substance Use Disorder treatment programs. He has presented in different settings providing education on clinical processes, counselor development, and racial and diversity issues. Travis has owned and operated a private practice and Managed inpatient rehabilitation centers in the past as well.

Facility Director

Chandra is a graduate of Penn State University. She completed a 2 year Gestalt training program for personal development. She has worked as a counselor in all levels of treatment since 1999. She has worked with MAT, good works, and inpatient rehabilitation. The majority of her experience has been as a counselor and clinical supervisor. Her passion has always been working with women and children and reuniting families because addiction is a family disease. In her free time, she helps oversee a sober living home in Fayette County. She is dedicated to her own 12 Step program and has an intense interest in nutrition and physical and mental well-being. She is also dedicated to her 2 teen aged daughters.

Front Office Manager

Betty Hoover is the Office Manager and has been with Angels Light Addiction Specialists since its beginning in 2019. She has an Associate’s degree in Business Management and 25 years of previous experience in sales. Although retiring in 2005 to spend quality time with her much adored grandchildren, they eventually went to college leading to her decision to return to the work force, choosing a very different path. Since having experienced the painful effects of addiction in her own family growing up, she ultimately decided to enter the field of addiction treatment to help assist with both the everyday business and management of Angel’s Light and the day to day personal assistance of those dealing with this debilitating disease. In her spare time Betty likes to read, walk, and spend her time with her family.

Janette F

Counselor

Janette is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a degree in Psychology. She has several years of Faith-Based Addiction Counseling. She remains active in the music ministry at her church and enjoys teaching Bible Studies. She has a passion for helping others, which led her to become a counselor to make a difference in the lives of others. Janette hopes to use the life experience, knowledge and wisdom that she has acquired in her life to help numerous others as they overcome their addiction.

Counselor Assistant

Bill has an associate degree in Human Services from Westmoreland County Community College and will be graduating from Penn State the Eberly Campus with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies in May. He hopes to use the experience, wisdom and knowledge he has gained throughout his life to help others navigate their way through overcoming addiction.

Counselor

Holly S is a D&A Counselor with Angel’s Light Addiction Specialists. She received her Master’s Degree from California University of Pennsylvania and hold a certificate in Behavioral Crime Analysis. Holly Graduated from Penn State University, the Eberly Campus, with a Bachelors in Administration of Justice in 2018. Previously she worked as a Counselor in Greensburg, PA. Holly currently has patent pending and is in the process of writing her first book. Holly’s hobbies include camping and spending time with her family.

CRS/FRS

Rhonda is a Certified Recovery Specialist and a Certified Family Recovery Specialist with Angel's Light. Rhonda has been clean and sober since November 19,1993 through God, the 12 steps, meetings, a support group, having a sponsor, and being a sponsor. Rhonda has done service work at White Deer Run Rehab through H&I, volunteered at Another Way for Women, and Good Works Life Recovery Halfway House. Rhonda's passion for continuing to help the sick and suffering is what led her to become a Certified Recovery Specialists and a Certified Family Recovery Specialists.

Evening Shift Tech

Jeremy is a Tech at Angels Light with multiple years of experience with drug and alcohol recovery and treatment. Currently, Jeremy is a Senior at California University of Pennsylvania pursuing his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. It is Jeremy’s goal to serve as a mentor and recovery coach to the clients at Angel’s Light while working towards a career in the electric power industry.

PRN Tech

Graduate from California University with a masters degree in social work and under graduate degree in criminal justice. Experienced in addictions counseling with a specialization in methadone maintenance. Experienced case manager. Collaborates well with professional interdisciplinary teams. Proficient in promoting diversity and the well being of others by linking them with community resources and acting as a patient advocate.

Administrative Assistant

Michala S is a Senior attending California University of Pennsylvania where she majors in Forensic Science and has two minors: Chemistry and Anthropology. Aside from her career goal being a Forensic Anthropologist, she wants to travel to low income communities and provide them with resources.

Peer Recovery Coach

Angelia is a certified recovery coach with over 2 years clean and sober. She is always positive and willing to listen to our guests. Her life journey has led her to want to change others lives with her own experiences. She takes great satisfaction in seeing our guests succeed and become healthy again. She see's Angels Light is as a superior platform for herself, and the rest of the staff to help those in need.

PRN Tech

Neal is a graduate of Fairchance-Georges H.S.- 1974 and Boyd Career School. He has been employed with the PA house of representatives and Fayette County. Neal sits on the board of Fairchance Boro Council as VP and is the Board Chair for Tradition One Inc. He also is a Board Member of Another Way Halfway House. Neal is a proud father to his son Chris and dog dad to his pet Molly. Neal has 26 years of sobriety with a sober date of 3/15/1994.

Evening Manager

Joel is Evening Shift Manager at Angel's Light. His managerial experience includes many years in the coatings industry as a Plant Superintendent and Regional Sales Manager. Joel has developed and managed Caddy programs at some of America's finest golf courses and worked closely as an assistant to Arnold Palmer. Joel has been in recovery for 25 plus years providing experience, strength and hope to our guests at Angel's Light.
